Spray before you play!
Keihin Rupp grabs a first in his class at the muddy, sandy GNCC Wild Boar Round 2 in Florida. Maybe we should think about adding MuddyBuddy laundry detergent ! Congratulations again Keihin.
Do you still play in the mud? Whether you are a serious competitor, or just enjoy having fun on your Dirt bike, ATV or any off-road fun machine, getting it muddy is part of our sport. Mud build-up from competition adds weight and blocks air flow. And a huge cleaning chore.
But ironically, your clean-up method and between-ride storage could cause more damage than the MUD!
The next time, after you get your machine as clean as possible, following your manufacturer's recommended cleaning method,
(you might be surprised if you read it! I was.)
wait a short time, and on your just dried machine, mist MuddyBuddy on with the easy pump spray bottle. Avoid things such as brake rotors, hot exhaust and rider contact areas like seats and controls. Mud won't stick, and neither will YOU! MuddyBuddy Protectant will create a corrosion resistant and protective barrier, preventing corrosion and oxidation of painted parts, anodized bolt finishes, cast aluminum and plastic components and keep seals, CV boots, and wiring harnesses soft and playable. Citrus type de-greasing cleaners actually remove lubrication from your chain, control cables, any exposed item, even the tiny switches and electrical connections. But there's more!
Your next cleaning will be super easy and faster. No need for environmentally damaging corrosive chemicals and high pressure water form a pressure washer- blasting dirt and water into bearings and seals that were not designed for that abuse. Your machine will look new and stay new-looking longer. A light buffing with a clean cloth to smooth out any excess MuddyBuddy Protectant will do wonders for your plastics and graphics too. You will be amazed!
The videos below illustrate cleaning with just a home garden hose, and NO damaging chemical cleaners.
Give your loyal off-road friend the TLC and protection that it deserves.
At MuddyBuddy, we knew that a hose-off doesn't necessarily always get all of the mud staining issues to the "as new" cleaning. If you're a detail nut like me, I like to have my white MuddyBuddy protected TX 300 looking it's best after a mud race, or just out playing . I hose off the heavy mud with a garden hose only, then mist on MuddyBuddy Moto-Bath. Not letting the cleaner dry, I simply hose it off again. The white plastics, frame, engine and the tires come super clean.
When we first wanted to add a complimentary soap to our products, we thought about a citrus type cleaner. Our chemist rejected that idea, and made great sense. Citrus type cleaners are degreasers. They will degrease everything. Your bearings, your chain lube product, any place that you have put grease or a lubricant to lubricate anything, you risk flushing that lubricant all away. Even worse, any MuddyBuddy protectant could also be mostly washed away, waisting product.
Equally important is a pH balanced, safe on metal and does not remove the MuddyBuddy protectant already applied before your ride. You will be amazed to see the water beads, even after rinsing. All that is need is a reapplication mist of MuddyBuddy protectant, and you are looking new and have coated and protected soft parts and metal finishes. Ready to go.
Check this out! After a fun day riding in the mud, I am cleaning this 12 year old Quad with just a home garden hose. I have used no corrosive and environmentally damaging cleaning chemicals and not need a pressure washer blasting mud, water and lubrication-removing chemicals into places that it shouldn't be. Also, the graphics are safe. This product really works. Right after it is dry, I misted on another protective coat, and I'm ready for next weekend!
